Mauk is the clear #1 and will get the snaps as long as he stays healthy. The line had a tough time last night against 7 returning starters in the OSU front 7 and it showed. Remember it's a unit that had to completely change their bodies and style of play to adjust to the spread. By the time Big East play rolls around they will be just fine...

If they keep it up, they're going to be a factor in the Big East sooner rather than later. :thumb: I agree, though imo WVU will have too much for them but they may very well compete THIS season in the Big East. I was really impressed with them.

The one vulnerable aspect of this D is that they flow so fast to the ball that the spread option attack can give them fits with misdirection. WVU is the one Big East team that on paper will have their number on that side of the ball IMO...

Since 2002, USC is 7-3 vs. Top 10 competition, 19-3 vs. Ranked teams, 4-1 in BCS Bowls...60-6 overall. Their BCS game results... '02 vs. Iowa = 38-17 W '03 vs. Michigan = 28-14 W '04 vs. Oklahoma = 55-19 W '05 vs. Texas = 38-41 L '06 vs. Michigan = 32-18 W Last year, they were 11-2 with a convincing win against Michigan in the Rose Bowl. They returned the bulk of their starting lineup on both sides and brought in yet another top recruiting class...they're going into the season with the least amount of questions and they have the track record that proves they know how to get it done. I believe the pros of USC far outweigh a few Oregon State scores. Who else can you make a case for at this point?

September 7, 200719 yr OSU QB was Terrible. I hope he isnt the best they got. Imo the Bearcat defense is going to make a lot of qb's look terrible.

Man is that scary or what?? :scared: :lol: WVU and now Cincy are definately my two favorite B.East teams to watch play.

As long as White and Slaton are leading that offense, they're going to light the scoreboard up. I don't think Cincy is the only defense that doesn't match up well with them on paper...or on the field. There is no shame in giving up a lot of points to that team... I'm anxious to see the UC and U of L. Can Cincy be this year's Rutgers?

September 7, 200719 yr That D is tremendous and can track and tree a fast QB. This team scares me as much as WVU and UofL coming into the RayJay this year. USF could lose all three conference home games. I'm a Bull fan, but I'm also a realist.
