That is quite a large spread. Are you attributing it to T's (expected) improvement from game #1 to game #2 or to the disparity between the teams, or both?

Both. Injuries have already taken away three Bear starters.

The all-time series is 7-5-1 advantage Rocks.

No Appy State type upset win here. I also believe it will be a running clock early in the second half.

I give kudos to Butler for playing us. There are lots of schools that won't. I hope they go a long way this season. I hope they beat every school they play that boycotts us. JMHO

Getting beat by Trinity may not be the issue as much as having the score so lop-sided it becomes embarassing. It's tough not to pick Trinity, though I understand if other teams choose not to play them.

Butler in struggling mightly on the offensive side of the ball. I believe that they fell way behind JH before they scored. I also believe that they were held to negative yards rushing (less than 50 total)vs. Eastern. Their schedule is brutal. Play the Rocks tough and use it as a learning experience down the road.

Rocks win with class, clock runs non-stop at 3rd quarter.

This one could get real ugly, T is good and the Bears are down.

That is my hope also. Butler is young and the coach is in his second year. I say Rocks 54-0.

This could be Butler's longest year that they have had in a while. They are really down, which is a same.

Trinity ROLLS 56-0.

Then why the vote for the Bears?

Butler has a lot of potential for the future, yet this one could get very ugly with Trinity coming out on top.

Let's go with Rocks-51 Bears-17..... things to look for... how well the ends block on offense, play of the d-line and dbs, and developing another ball carrier.

Trinity 35-7.

Update, one more Bear bit the dust according to their staff. A starting DB. So that's 27% of their starters. Rick Pitino or Rich Brooks must be running their practices.

Is it possible that Butler's staff is holding out some of their banged up players so the kids will be fully healed when they play a more winnable game next week?
