Paintsville bumps Ashland from the rankings? Ridiculous - but it should alay the concerns of those who believe that the Daily Independent is heavily biased in favor of the Tomcats.

What is so ridiculous about that?

So where would you suggest that they be? Keep in mind they got beat buy Appy State not once but twice. Okay Raceland and Pikeville 1-A teams.

By the way look at todays Independent. They are the only team.

Is Johnson Center anywhere near Johnsonville?:D

Seriously, what is the geographic area covered by the ADI for purposes of the "Super 7"?

Boyd Co, Greenup Co, Carter Co, Lawrence Co, Johnson Co, Lewis Co, Rowan Co, Morgan Co, Fleming Co, Magoffin Co, and Elliott Co (which does not have a football team)

High school typing class payed dividends when Al Gore invented the Internet. Plus, I really know my North-Eastern Kentucky football.

Those concerns will always be there...and really not even concerns, they are facts....:thumb:

Just because Ashland got bumped in Week 2, in Sept , of Year 2007 does not cover-up all of the multiple years of bias coverage and all of the multiple years to come...One edition of one day dont make up for that.:thumb:

Sorry for the comment...just the truth...If you dont believe me...drive out thru the county here and count all of the ADI paperboxes...you can on one hand.:thumb:

 Actually, it is. I will miss the classy people that we lost from Mason Co. when we switched districts. Good Luck to your Royals the rest of the way.

With the rise of Johnson Central's football program, Paintsville is struggling just to field a team. Inexperienced or not, the Tomcats would mop the field with the Tigers. Paintsville is not a top 10 1A team but I believe that both Pikeville and Raceland are (and would have been even without this year's watering down of the class).

Paintsville may open the season 4-0 before dropping its final six games, mostly by lopsided scores, to end the regular season.

I probably would rank Ashland somewhere between #4 and #6. Raceland and Pikeville are not Appy State and, no offense intended to Tomcat fans, Ashland is no Michigan this season.

Just think, if it wasn't for dear Ol' grean peace / global warming Al we wouldn't have wonderful place like BGP to discuss these things on.:D We owe him debt of gatitiude - not to mention what he has done for Bill Gates  .

As for your knowledge of NEKY football, it is very good:thumb: but you are going to throw a shoulder out patting yoursef on the back like that . I know a very good Chiropractor that I can get you an appointment with, just let me know. :p (J/K, if we couldn't ride each other what is the point in any of this? ;) )

Dang Ram that was fast.

That's why he is a RAM. Raceland boys can git-r-done! :D :thumb:

Actually I would put Ashland at #4 on my list:

1. Johnson Central

2. Russell

3. Raceland

4. Ashland

5. Fairview

6. East carter

7. Boyd/Paintsville (tie)
