There are 74 teams on the list right now (33% of the state). I'm guessing it will be cut roughly in half next week, considering it is the start of district play. I'd predict somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 teams remaining after the dust has settled next weekend!

A shocker to me would be Montgomery Co., after having several one win seasons, they have beaten East Jess., and GRC to open the season. Quality teams.

 

They are a huge 5A program, and look to be heading way up in the football world.
