What Bell County has that most teams do not have is a kicker who can keep teams backed way up. I would guess that Lincoln's average starting posession was their own 20. they had one posession that start inside Bell's 50 yard line due to a penalty. Bell's Kicker is will keep plenty of teams backed up!

 

I don't think many teams at all this year will have return yards against Bell county, unless they want to take the kick at 20 yards deep in the endzone!!!

 

Never have I saw a kicker like Merrick in High School. Quite impressive.

I don't believe so. He moved into Bell Co. from out of state in middleschool. I think he came from Kansas? Soccer player. However, I understand that there are Merrick brothers kicking in Bell Co. His younger brother is now kicking for Pineville and was 4-4 PAT's in his first game as Mt. Lions defeated Estill Co. last week! Go figure!

Whitley will win this one considering they should have beat Middlesboro by 2 TD's and they have no superior talent.

Should have, but didn't, and M'boro is not on an even level with Bell this year by a long shot. Even if they did beat M'boro by 2 TD's, I would put them as a 2 TD underdog.

The younger brother had no intrest in football but did want to be in the school band. Bell's band is awlful and P'ville's pretty good so he went to P'ville. I think he saw the oppurtunities FB was going to give his big brother and decided to play.

The best kicker I have ever seen play in person played on Log Mountain, but he wasn't a Bobcat. It was the kid that plays for UK now, that played for Knoxville Central in 2005 I think. Aaron Petry is second though.
