Looks like you just picked the wrong Panthers to win this weekend. :thumb:

 You are correct on that one! 0-2 on the two games that I cared about most! Though I didn't necessarily want CC to win, just made a guess.

Bird has 3 TDs and 275 yds...and didn't look 100%.

I believe Rouse was something like 13 of 30 for 270 some yds. Trimble had about 100 more total yds.

QB Hawkes did well for his first outing in a while. Led the team defensively, also. The fullback was not as much a factor as I had hoped.

Definitely a lot of work to do before next week's Henry Co game.

Does Trimble still look to be a solid #2 in their district, behind Frankort or are they now mixed in with Gallatin and Eminence?

I guess that quells the preseason "Top 10" talk for Trimble ...

No, it does not. You want to base it off of one game? As I recall, I questioned Campbellsville's place in the top 10. Seems like they were completely ineffective against Frankfort and that S. Bridgewater was unimpressive. Campbellsville didn't even score. Does that mean they shouldn't have been ranked in the top 10?

I wouldn't go there. Trimble had almost 400 total offensive yards and 14 first downs. The team needs to gel. Once they start firing on all cylinders, those questions will be answered. They play Eminence in 2 weeks and Gallatin in three. You can't just look at W-L for the first game and know who is the better team.

So am assuming they are still the solid #2. Can they play with Frankfort?

Good question...are you putting me on the spot? :D At the moment, I would have to give the nod to Frankfort, though Trimble would be able to score on them.

Luckily, that game is a ways away - not until October. A lot of things can happen between now and then....

I will have to say this game suprised me. Congrats to Ludlow, they beat a solid team in Trimble.

I bet your really going to miss your life savings that you betted on this game arent you?:p:D

Me too, thought Ludlow was down and Trimble up and coming. Even the worse N.KY teams are a load to handle on any given Friday. Who starred for Trimble in this game? Ludlow? Thanks.

I not sure what you meant by this statement, but Ludlow is definitely not one of the worse teams in NKY this year. This years Ludlow team is a very good team, and has a very good shot to get the 2 seed in the district this year with the offense they have.

One thing i was impressed with last night as far as the ludlow team goes. I was impressed with the late fourth quarter drive they put together. They didnt lay down and die as teams in the past would have. Good win for the Panthers. :thumb:

Congrats to Ludlow, they have a nice team and will win alot of games.

To the Raiders you have to learn to hold on to the ball 4 fumbles will do in any team. Trimble had 402 yards to Ludlows 291. Bird had 305 yards, but 2 fumbles inside the 20 yardline. It is the 1st game of the season, not the last.

Maybe, but then again ... Campbellsville was playing the state's third-ranked team with their biggest weapon, as I read it, playing while wearing a cast.

I seem to remember some Trimble fans barking up a storm when they weren't in the top 10, and a loss to unranked Ludlow would seem to be evidence that they didn't belong there.

Yes, I mailed it to the Ludlow Football team. Sad part it's only twenty-five cents.;)

I know. I was that fan that barked up a storm. I will continue to bark about this team and the fact that they deserve to be ranked higher up than some others. I might add that the Lexington-Herald did have Trimble in the top 10. Ludlow is a good team that should have a good season. Maybe they deserved to be ranked higher up, too.

As far as Campbellsville playing the third ranked team and their biggest weapon in a cast, I am sure that it was tough. But they didn't even score on Frankfort. Our RB Bird played with a cast most of his sophomore year. He racked up over 1000 yds and had touchdowns on both Danville and Frankfort's first string defense.

I'll make a truce with you, though. I won't mention the preseason rankings (or my displeasure with them) again. It doesn't matter where you start...it is where you finish that counts.

One game does not determine a season.

I know this has little to do with this thread, but none of the backs that Campbellsville wanted to run the ball. It didnt matter if the where wearing wings. Bridgewater is suspose to have D-1 offers. He didnt want no part of the football last night.
