LaSalle (OH) 34 Cov Cath 7

Featured Replies

A viable passing game and the running game open up holes for each other. Moving the ball helps keep the defense off the field and fresh.

No doubt that LaSalle was a tough opening game. Keep your heads up and work hard.

This is not a terrible loss. LaSalle would do this to anyone in NKY more than likely.

Not surprised. I'm sure if BB was there it would have been quite a bit closer.

Don't start using that excuse for them.

As good as he is, not today.

How did the linebackers play for CCH? In particular number four.

Number 4 is Hans Roedig (sp?) from what i hear he had a great game.

Two of the touchdowns that LaSalle scored were deep in colonel territory after costly turnovers. So in my opinion the D played great.

Once the offense chooses a single QB, and it should be Isler IMO, they will start getting the timing down and wont have to depend on the run as much.

All they got to do now is go watch film and get ready for NCC, its going to a good evenly matched game.

Roedig played well but the stand out at linebacker today was Mike Jacobs. The crosstown showdown people must have agreed as they gave him the award for MVP for CovCath in today's game.

Thats great to hear,Mr.Roedig is my neighbor and I did not get a chance to catch the game

LaSalle high school clearly dominated this game. I have always been a fan of LaSalle and it's good to see them put CovCath in their place.

Where are you getting at? It's going to take the defending state champions some time to get going because they are so green. Get back to me in November.

He's a talented tough kid. I hope the hip pointer is not a lingering issue.

Mike is a LB in a safety's body - not he biggest kid but pretty tough.

I was pretty impressed with his speed as he made up a lot of ground on the tailback on that 80 yard TD run that was called back.

Ah well, this is a loss for CCH, but they could be 0-80 and teams would STILL have to fear them. I'm sure they will bounce back just fine.

It's a new team, with a new coach and a new year, and we CovCath fans shouldn't except a ton from this team, early in the season. Last years team, up against this year LaSalle team, and my guess is that the LaSalle players wouldn't be smiling like they are today.

Couldn't attend the game due to work, but did listen to the game via CovCath Internet Radio. Hopefully Coach Brossart sticks with a QB, as playing musical QB's isn't the answer to a successful football team....

The "D" from what Mark and J-man was saying seemed to be doing a good job, but when you are constantly on the field, well........
