Will Bowling Green matchup as well with T as they have with X?

I think the ride on the bus up I-65 N is a -10 point spread in itself.... I look for T to strike early and often in this one...

Like you said...you're no Trinity expert. :D

Sometimes, I just want to throw my hands up and say:

"It's a Trinity thing...you wouldn't understand." (Wouldn't that make a great bumper sticker, Rock fans? Anyone who produces it...I own the rights! :D)

No offense intended, but sometimes trying to explain is like banging my head against a brick wall. People have their preconceived notions, and no matter what, nothing will change it.

It's not a preconceived notion ... just an observation that Trinity and St. Xavier do business differently then the rest of the state. It's actually a compliment ...

How can you make an accurate observation without observing what you're commenting on? :p

Call it intuition ... ;)

I think that excuse would work better if you were a woman. :p

Just so the voting public knows...how many Trinity games have you seen? When was the last one? :D

What, you're using the Johnson Central line now?

Just trying to keep the "observer" honest. :D

I'm always honest ... gets me in trouble here sometimes, too.

How can you say you are making honest observations, when you're experience in observing a team is limited (and that's using the term liberally)? :p

Just because I'm not around it doesn't mean I can't have a pretty good idea how Trinity's program works. Heck, you can get some of that from this site.

I beg to differ. But, again, I'll never convince you.

Probably true ... actually, I know more about Trinity than I did a couple of years ago. ;)

And you can keep trying, if you wish. ;)

I'm no Trinity expert, but I doubt that they only put the second-string linemen in the game when it's a blowout.

No one doubts that there is some validity to the theory. I simply don't think the effect is as great as some make it out to be.

I agree with you Westsider... I really don't see a difference between Trinity playing a 1st game vs anyone else playing a 1st game... Granted, some teams may have more returning starters than Trinity, but, some won't, and theres not too many other teams out there with 120 to 150 kids in the Jr and Soph classes to choose from to replace them. I would think that advantage alone would offset any effect it may have...

Thanks Rockmom for the idea..."It's a Trinity thing...you wouldn't understand". I'll see how long it will take the printing presses to pump a few of these stickers out.....;)

I look at it this way ...

The average "new starter" at Trinity, I suspect, is a senior that was probably good enough as a junior to play for some or most of the other teams on Trinity's schedule. He also has a year or two of experience working in practice against a state championship team or, at least, a top state championship contender.

Therefore, I maintain, they're a little more prepared than "new starters" at a lot of other schools.

Again, just one of those "advantages" ... ;)
