You may be correct but dodging Bath County and Coach Hicks raises questions about the soundness of that boat.

 

Competive individuals do not "dodge" things, they meet them head on! Greenup's coach didn't dodge anything, but it may have been the otherway around.....

I didn't say the coach was dodging Bath County. I said the leadership. At Greenup County, coaches are rarely part of the leadership. I understand that it came from the administration.

 

I can't imagine Hicks dodging GC. But I can sure see GC's administration wanting to avoid Hicks. I'm not finding fault with the decision. I'm merely mentioning it.:thumb:

I can understand their postion............. I try to avoid using Preparation-H too!

Did anyone hear that Bath's basketball team may have a TOP player ineligible for this year? Anything to this?

mmmbc you need to stop worrying about Coach Hicks and the Bath County Basketball program. Things are going great. We are very excited to have Coach Hicks here. He is working harder than any coach that has ever been here. We are going to surprise a lot of people this year. And by the way there is no player ineligible. But for your information - Joe Mabry (6'4" junior) Transfer from Rowan Co. was ruled eligible by the KHSAA a couple of weeks ago. Now we can go 6'4" with Mabry and 6'5" with Scott Trusty. With the good perimeter players to go with those two could mean good things for us.

If Scott Trusty is 6'5" then I'm 6'4" and there just ain't no way. Scott is more like 6'2" 6'3" in shoes.

 

Good fellar, good player, good overall kid. But 6'5"? No chance.

Nets. I was there on October 20th, which was media day. I saw them measure him with his shoes on and he is 6'5". Last year he was 6'2", but he has grown. I have no reason to lie. Kids do grow.

Bath Co. won't surprise me if they are winning. I watched this team play more than once last year and I really like them. I hope they play in the David Garnes tournament. It will be fun.

Harry Doyle, thanks for yoru comment, I appreciate that. Been a while since I've been around, trying to get back in swing of things. When I saw the thread about 16th region with over 100 posts, it reminded me of the days of A-train/Ashland/Rose Hill and all the artwork and hilarious moments....we may very well have a Dead Horse Trophy to bring out this season at some point, perhaps sooner than later!
