Does anyone else remember this game? I used to get so excited when it was Oregon Trail day in the 5th grade. I read something about the real Oregon trail today and it brought back that memory. I am sure it was so simple and easy that now I would find it horribly lame, but back in those days it was the thing! To get to play a video game in school. But actually it worked I still remember all the rivers from that game and the sites along the historical trail. I can't remember what else I learned during the fifth grade but I sure learned Western Geography and the history of pioneers. Anyone else remember the MECC games fondly?

I loved that game. I remember trying to navigate through the river without hitting any rocks and jimmy getting bitten by snakes and dieing thought the trail.

I was all about some Oregon Trail back in Elementary School! Ahhh, the good ol' days...

I remember you had to try and guess if your wagon or whatever would float across the water or you would have to pay to get it over. And sometimes your Buffalo or whatever pulled you wagon would drown. :lol:

Going hunting was always sweet, but at the most you could only bring back 200lbs of food or at least I think that was limit.

If I'm not mistaken you can still play the original Oregon Trail game on the internet somewhere.
