Chris Lofton left off Pan Am Games roster

I'm from Maysville.

I'm a Lofton fan (see avatar).

I have no problem with a coaching staff picking the team that they think will give them the best chance to win.

Sorry to burst some of your bubbles!:D

I am a Lofton fan also, and there is no doubt that Chris could play on that team. He just wasn't what they needed at that particular time.

:thumb: :thumb: Good to see some people thinking logically about it.

And far be it for me to beat the proverbial dead horse, but the same logic applied a few years back when Chris was in his senior year of high school. He's proven time and time again that he can play, and to be honest has probably exceeded almost everyone's expectations. He just wasn't the perfect fit at the time; and things have certainly worked out.

So why do players try out for the NBA? Not everybody gets drafted by someone knowing who they are. Sometimes you have to prove yourself a little more. I think Chris is a great player but evidently he didn't make a good showing when it was needed and someone else did. Chis will get his turn another day.

Why do people do horrible in tryouts for that nba and still get drafted as a lottery pick? What does Lofton have to prove? Ask every team in the SEC what he needs to prove. Heck, ask every team on their schedule last year and see what you come up with. I'm a Duke fan and if Redick can get drafted in the first round, Lofton should be a Lottery. I'll bet he gets drafted higher than half of the team he was cut from.

Redick was IMO a much better overall player than Lofton is.....Lofton will not be a lottery pick, mark it down.

No trips to Mason County planned in your immediate future, I suppose.

Lofton will NOT be a lottery pick.

I am a Lofton fan I don't think he has a to prove he can play. I know he can play, but he was evidently out played during the tryouts by others. You have to bring your game every day and I guess he didn't. I have seen Chris have bad games in High school and at TN. I know they are few and far between, but it has happend.

You aren't being serious, are you? Redick better than Lofton, not. Redick was only a shooter. Didn't you see Lofton play, or at least read previous postings? He can do it all. Redick's D was awful.:thumb:

I can live with that, but at the same time, he is proven. Even against the back-to-back National Champs. Match that up with any tryout you want to have and I'm taking the reigning SEC player of the year over any bad tryout. To cut from tryouts is a result of not really seeing someone play before and them having not as good of a tryout as others, or politics.

If that's what you want to believe, go right ahead. :thumb:

SEC POY was Byars according to the coaches....Lofton won the media award, I'll take the coaches word.

So you think Redick, who had a dominate teammate in Sheldon Williams along with other really good talent, is better than Lofton, who has far less talent around him and still produces is better? WOW!

Well I'll take the media and the stats.
