I thought it would be interesting to see how your religion matches up with your politics. So how do you identify yourself politically and faith-wise? I'm not interested in how you're registered politically, but how you're most likely to vote. Independent is not a choice. This is a non-public poll, so please vote, even if you don't post in this forum.

Not sure I am in there. Non-denominational Christian who is registered Democrat but mostly likely will vote Republican on national/state level while voting Democrat on the local level.
If you are a Christian and you're not a Catholic, then you are a Protestant. I'm more concerned with the federal/state level because that's where party politics are formulated.

That would be choices 5 and 6 you ding dong. Maybe I needed a "ding dong" category for you. :p

Actually, I saw an article the other day about how a female priest (I think) in some church claimed that she was a Muslim also...so technically, I guess she'd claim to be a Muslim-Christian. :D

She definitely belongs in the "ding-dong" category.

I can't help but think of the SI thing..."This week's sign that the apocalypse is upon us."

I am a non-denominational Christian. I'll never understand the need by some to be more concerned with the worship of their church (Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Snake Handlers, etc) than the worship of God Himself. Since I currently attend a Baptist church, I said I was a Protestant in the poll. And, of course, as a business owner I obviously vote Republican.:D Although, to be truthful, I'm having a harder and harder time calling myself a Republican.

Would it be easier to call yourself a Protestant entrepreneur who votes Democrat?

People! Any Christian that is not a Catholic is a Protestant! This includes non-denominational churches and people who go to the closest church on Easter.

We KNOW that. When I say non-denominational I am merely trying to emphasize that I don't get caught up in church vs church arguments.;)

You never addressed RM's question about religions other than Christianity. What if you are a practicing Muslim, Buddhist or Jew?

No. Independent or Libertarian are the only other possibilities at this point.:D

It would be easier for me to describe myself as a Satan Worshipper who kills cute cuddly kittens (and votes Independent), than what you suggest...................................................

Just kidding
