July 23, 200719 yr A recruit coming to UK is a big deal, not just 5 star. All the recruit has to do is be from outside these borders and come here on scholarship and he is the best recruit ever. Deuce is right. The media virtually projects them first round before even signing. After they sign, Pro Bowl status.
July 23, 200719 yr I still think he will be a stud. When you have to run sideline to sideline, drop in coverage in the SEC then you better have some WHEELS to go with the size. I think he will be a great DE but LBer seems to be where he'll be as of right now. I'll be really suprised if he doesn't end up with his hand in the dirt. I think once he does he will be a beast!
July 23, 200719 yr I remember hearing this guy was going to be a BEAST....What happened? You can have all the skills in the world but if you do not know the reads or how to play the position you can't use them. He is older, wiser, slimmer, playing for a new DC and ready to show what he can do this fall.
July 23, 200719 yr Larry Vaught writes an excellent article. To me, Micah Johnson's future is not at linebacker. He does not move his hips well enough to cover sideline to sideline. He would make a good/great defensive lineman once he gets comfortable at that position. You could not be more wrong! He will be a great LB this year!
