It would be good to see Noble get a shot in Booneville.

I'm sorry to see Coach Parrett leave, I think with a little time he was headed in the right track. High School is a lot different than Middle School..I guess time will tell. The folks in Owsley are kind of like UK basketball fans..they are rough on the coaches if they are not winning! It's a good thing we won a few games while I was there!!(at least in baseball) :p

There is no link. Owsley County does not have a daily newspaper, only a weekly. But Doug Noble is the new coach. He was in the gym with the players yesterday preparing for some upcoming camps.

Yes i have also heard that Doug Noble will be the head coach, seeing that were on the subject of owsley county, how do you see their senior packed team doing this year.

People there in Owlsley must realize he has 4 sons ,they are young but can and will be good players someday,and he is taking his nephew Nick Noble starting point guard from Breathitt Co. just a 10th grader and with what he has coming back it will be hard for them to win with out lots of support from others,cause they lost most all the starting players last year team,but i do wish him the Best of Luck...

They have everyone back. They did however lose Trey and Jeremy Congleton. The Owls will be fine and with the addition of Noble will compete very well if they can get some chemistry.

Owsley County will have a solid team this year. They are returning everyone except for the Congelton brothers. The biggest problem that Owsley County had last year was the lack of a good point guard. They were unable to handle pressure all of last season. If Nick Noble does come to the Owls it should make Owsley the favorite in the 56th this season.

I agree. Coach Noble should have these boys in shape and working together by seasons end. Josh Reed is a player that will definately be a force in the region, Adam McIntosh is going to tough down low, and Jeremy P. , Nick running the point and Matt Wright should make an experienced team later on in the season. A few off the bench such as Murrell, Marshall, Taylor and Marcus should help keep some fresh legs late in games.
