July 7, 200719 yr There is a tire plant here, well it was until last year when it closed. The union guys use to get vocal about driving American cars. I had problems understanding their point. I have a Toyota made in the US and a Ford made in Canada. Which is the American Car? Seemed to me it was more so the Toyota than the Ford
July 7, 200719 yr I read this thread and I'm reminded of the Michael Keaton movie "Gung Ho" "Back to worrrrrk!!"
July 7, 200719 yr Is your issue that they drive out the local mom/pops? Quality? Union related? I hope it's not that tired old excuse, that one doesn't have a leg to stand on.
July 7, 200719 yr Nah!!! Made in India and Malaysia here, all the Chinese are mad because they can't find anything made in China!!! :thumb: :thumb: I am halfway through my trip, can't wait till the 16th to get home.     :thumb:
July 7, 200719 yr I buy from who ever has the best product at the best price. If American companies want people to buy American then they need to build better products at better prices. I have zero problem shopping at Wal-Mart. Tough to do when Americans want to make a decent living AND get health care. This always drives prices up. Very sad. I dont know what the answer is. I have been known to sneak into Wal-Mart from time to time. I DO know that if I could find a computer company whose helpline isnt in India with people speaking broken English, I would be a devoted customer. It is frustrating enough to have problems with a computer without having to try to figure out what your "helper" is trying to say.
