HDE
Jones is in a class all by himself in the entire 13th Region, with Ritchie Farmer being the closest to being in the ballpark with him. Charles Thomas, however is probably one of the top 6 or 8 players ever in the 13th Region, and possibly top 5. Wah Wah Jones - Harlan Ritchie Farmer - Clay County Phil cox - Cawood Nick Sanford - Cawood Charles Thomas - Harlan I like that top five, but you can tell we're from Harlan County. Ms Liberty
I don't know about your choice from Elliott County. I would have to say Rocky Atkins. He went on to a good career at Morehead State. My thought for sure. :ylsuper:
Ms Liberty
Everyone want's to relate Ferguson just to scoring. Here's his stats from last season on a winning team! 23.8ppg, 6.6reb, 2.9asst, 1.8steal's. Old School Dr.
I like that top five, but you can tell we're from Harlan County.Yes, you are right HDE. I think Rodney Woods - Lone Jack, Jerry Bird - Corbin, and Frank Selvey - Corbin would have to be in the top 8 mix somewhere, and could possibly toop 5 players. daballer03
There are so many great stories about King Kelly Coleman. One of my favorites is of an interview in which the opposing coach said " Coleman won't beat us. We'll hold him to 35 points." Coleman's response, " In which quarter". sidelinecoach
Wayland is in Floyd County in far eastern Kentucky. I think it was part of the Allen Central High School consolidation
$$East-Bank$$
I think it was part of the Allen Central High School consolidation Yeah Wayland is in the northern part of Floyd county I believe. Allen Central is made up of four schools....Maytown Wildcats,Wayland Wasp,Garrett Black Devils, and the Martin Purple Flash. All of which had rich basketball tradition as does Allen Central. firebird
I don't know about your choice from Elliott County. I would have to say Rocky Atkins. He went on to a good career at Morehead State. I think that Atkins may have played when it was known as Sandy Hook High School. He was a good one , but they also had a guy by the name of Stan Dixon that was very good as well in the early to mid 70's. What ever became of him?
