Mike Turner was a very good player for Owsley, but like the professor said there have been many good ones there.

I believe that Gullett scored over 70 points in a football game against Wurtland.

 

I believe he scored 11 touchdowns and kicked 6 extra points for a total of 72 points.

Whitesburg- The guard from their state team a few years ago.

Ben Bowling, he played for them in the late 90's. Very athletic but if I recall he had several discipline problems. I remember when Tubby Smith came and watched him play at the Palace in Booneville in 1999. I think he ended playing for a short time at TULANE.

Mike Turner, Jeff Moore, Joe Spencer, and Paul Smith are probably the top 4 that have wore the Maroon and White. IMO
