June 27, 200719 yr Barry Bonds agreed Tuesday to provide the Hall of Fame with an artifact when he breaks Hank Aaron's record with his 756th home run, perhaps a batting helmet. Bonds met with Hall of Fame vice president Jeff Idelson for about 40 minutes to discuss what the San Francisco slugger might donate to Cooperstown, and Bonds initially suggested a batting helmet though nothing had been finalized. This came after earlier comments by Bonds that made it unclear if he would donate anything, with him saying, "I'm not worried about the Hall. I take care of me." http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory?id=3319514&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312
June 27, 200719 yr ^Please tell me you don't think Pete Rose should be in either... Posthumously... The same would be fine for me with Bonds...
June 27, 200719 yr Posthumously... Did you have to look that up in a dictionary or send yourself and email and use spellcheck?
June 27, 200719 yr Posthumously... The same would be fine for me with Bonds... Fine with me.....Just wanting to make sure you're consistent.
June 27, 200719 yr The HOF would have to knock a wall out just to fit a helmet of his in there. . Maybe he should just leave a needle and tube of the majic cream.
June 28, 200719 yr ^Please tell me you don't think Pete Rose should be in either... If it says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about Pete being a manager, and ONLY as a player, than he should be in. But, it has to pretty much erase the records of the manager for that to happen, and the MLB would not do that I do not think.

So you think a cheater like Pete deserves to be in, but an "alleged" cheater like Bonds shouldn't? Doesn't make any sense to me...

June 28, 200719 yr I wish they could get his helmet from his first homerun...and put it completely inside the helmet he hits the record breaker with...
