This is not 100% yet! The job has been offered to him but he is not 100% that he wants to take the job.

I would bet that it was henderson co. Coach Cobb, Coach Jackson, and the Boyle Co. coach and coach Clevenger were the three finalists for the henderson co job.

If the HC personnel people have called other candidates and said that the job has been accepted by another candidate, does this mean Cobb told them he'd take the job and is now pulling a Billy Donovan?

This is not 100% yet! The job has been offered to him but he is not 100% that he wants to take the job.

Someone posted that he resigned...that sounds 100% to me????

Maybe he had second thoughts and was allowed to unresign.

Someone was misinformed! They jumped the gun about the resignation! As of now this is not the case!!!

So was he offered the job, or was this a false report?

So was he offered the job, or was this a false report?

Yes, the job was offered to him.

So, what is the status? Is he still contemplating the move, wanting time to think it over, second guessing himself.......?

Surprised that Henderson didn't hire Jackson (if the reports are true) - Looks like Henderson Co.'s loss is Pikeville's gain.

I say we drop this til there is more information.

I would say that is a pretty good idea.

I'll second that!

Somerset Football, you had better check with your sources. HC Schools sent out a press release this afternoon and announced that Jay Cobb had accepted the offer to coach at Henderson County. It was released to the media this afternoon.

This shakes things up. So if Lucas doesn't desire to be a head coach, will he follow Cobb to Henderson Co.? Who will apply for the Somerset job or will they hire from within?

We may need to start another thread on the opening job at Somerset!
