Hope not to drift away from the topic, but it deals with UL/UK... fans, but wanted to share it. I was following the NCAA Baseball and loved when the Cards made it to the Supers. Being off friday I was thinking about going out there, but I have ESPNU and watch it here at home. I was reading some comments on CJ. com about the team and there is a place for comments.

 

Several UL fans were asking "where are the cats? They will be at home".

 

That reminds me of the Auburn fans...always worried about Bama.

 

Enjoy what your team has done and quit digging on the other guys.

Cards have really stepped up..while the Cats had to deal with some issues.

 

Great job by Coach brooks and heres hoping they again do well, same for the Cards...I'll pulling for the baseball team to win it all. See...that wasn't hard to do at all.

The choice effects us, both UofL and UK fans. Right now I don't see any UofL vs Murray St threads or UK vs EKU threads, if the first game was UofL UK we would be talking about right now.

If both teams take care of business the first couple of weeks the game will be picked up.......it's that simple. Brooks didnt choose to move the game out of fear of TV exposure.....he rightfully wanted it moved to allow prep time....especially with a new coach and new system to prepare for. What tune will the redbirds sing when the game does get televised and they end up holding a big "L"? I bet they will wish it wasnt televised then.......

I'm a UK fan..............but I thought it was rather childish the way UK handled the whole issue over the scheduling of the game.

Actually this all occurred BEFORE last season. Brooks pleaded "team youth and inexperience" as his reasoning. It had nothing to do with a new system at Louisville.

 

And if you can't get ready with an entire off season of prep time then an extra 2 weeks isn't going to make a whole lot of difference.

The reason is solely that there isn't as many fans on this site of Murray State/ EKU as of UK/UL. The other thing is both are bigger programs than the other and are suppose to win. Now you let one of them lose to MSU or EKU and the threads will be plentyful.
