Who from Kentucky signed to play for Hanover???

Come on Chase, your supposed to go to Thomas More not Hanover. Newport players are usually on the other side of the rivalry.

I did my best while at Hanover to get Nick Rice to come over to the good side, but he decided that it would be better to be an All-American at five different positions at TMC. I'd love to see more kids from KY get to play for the Panthers. As I said before, the campus is awesome, the education is second to none, and they have progressively created a more eventful atmosphere in comparison with just five years ago.

Nick wasn't going anywhere:laugh:  Too bad you call that the "good Side" (just joking)

But Mexitucky I agree with you, Hanover has awesome facilities and a very good program.

I visited Hanover back when I was being recruited. Wayne was a good guy and they did have a nice campus and facilities.

And to this day Nick still talks about all the QB's he knocked out from Hanover.

I heard last night that Simon Kenton QB Josh Elbert committed to Hanover. He is a top notch QB a great pick-up for Coach Perry at Hanover.

I hear Hanover is very good school to go to.

Hanover is a great school. Only about 1000 students. Great education & a pretty darn good football program.

As a former student athlete at Hanover, I am somewhat biased. But I can echo what has been said on this site. Wayne Perry is a class act. The all time winningest college football coach at any level in the state of Indiana (that includes Notre Dame, Purdue, IU, and every small college). Has had 1 losing season, a few .500 seasons, but more winning seasons, including an NAIA national runner up in the mid 1980's. He also looks like he hasn't aged a day since the early 1980's when he took the job. He has had opportunities to coach at bigger schools, but Hanover is 'home' in his words. It is a great school, around 1,100 students. The academics are second to none. Profs who really care about the students. Last time I went to a game (about 5 years ago), the campus had really gone more modern with the new athletic facility and coaches offices, etc. My biggest regret in life is transferring from Hanover. I still graduated with my bachelors from another school, but really wish my degree said "Hanover" on it.

I saw the games when Nick played & i don't remember him knocking out any QB.

2001, @ Hanover. What a hit it was! If you need video evidence, message me and I can meet up with you to let you view it.

I was just wondering who from Kentucky is going to play at Hanover???

Do you sign at Hanover , I thought they were a D3 program ? Or is it a commitment ?

Josh is a supper athlete , he should do well there. Good luck Josh:thumb:

Jake Staubitz defensive end from Holy Cross will play for the Panthers this fall.

That Staubitz kid is a stud. I saw him play only a couple times this year and he was catching back side sweeps. I thought he was going to Dayton though?

D3 is just a commitment. You can sign some papers but NCAA D3 doesnt participate in LOI's.

Two in the same day. I'm glad that you were able to catch that in a conversation with Nick. As much as he talks, I tune in and out sometimes. Great guy.

He did, I believe that he got two out. I know that he hurt Pelley, and I'm not sure, but maybe Dietz as well. Of course, Dietz ultimately got his revenge.
