Halo 3 Coming Sept. 25

I have never played ANY of the previous Halo games, don't really care about part 3. BUT I figured there might be SOMEONE on here that cared about this. lol

The unveiling of the "Halo 3" launch date comes on the eve of the release of the "Halo 3" multiplayer beta, which will debut to audiences worldwide via Xbox LIVE on May 16 at 5 a.m. PDT and run through June 6 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.* The "Halo 3" multiplayer beta will provide audiences worldwide with an exclusive early look at some of the multiplayer elements of "Halo 3" on Xbox LIVE. Gamers who are interested in experiencing the multiplayer beta of "Halo 3" can still participate through the purchase of the critically acclaimed, Xbox 360-exclusive title "Crackdown™," which was launched in February. Starting May 16, the specially marked copies of "Crackdown" will act as a key for gamers to participate in the "Halo 3" multiplayer beta. In addition to giving gamers their first opportunity to get their hands on the new levels, weapons, vehicles and game types, the multiplayer beta will also provide valuable data that Bungie will use in continued development.

I saw all of the news about the release date this morning when I tried getting on the beta. I looked online for info as to why it wasn't working, and apparently they're having some delays, and still are.

 

The good news is the release of September 25'th which will take place in Europe first is much sooner than the early prediction of around November.

I might march down to Gamestop right now to preorder. Don't even own a 360 yet, but by then I will!

 

I couldn't make myself get a 360 and Crackdown to play the Halo 3 Beta. I wonder how far behind I'll be when Halo 3 actually comes out.

I was in the same boat, got Halo 3 preordered a few months before I even bought a 360. Didn't buy Crackdown til last night, it's taking FOREVER to download the BETA. 911 Megabytes.

I hate Halo. Havent like it since my 4 year old little cousins started spanking me in it. He's not in school yet so all he does is play Halo all day long and I never play so it kinda makes me feel better.

It sucks were they reset everyones level due to the new maps. A guy who was a level 50 now starts over and is dominating people like me :cry:

It's an ebb and flow. I've had a couple of games like that, and then I've had many more that were mind-numbingly easy to win. I've had as many as 35 out of my team's 50 kills in some team slayer games.

 

The most positive thing is that you don't run into any delevelers yet.

Gotta get the 360 first. I'm planning on going in to get it sometime in July, which is a comfortable time before Halo 3 comes out and the rush to get boxes begins.

 

Gears of War is one that I'm very interested in, but I don't think I'd play it very much over Halo 2, and once Halo 3 comes out, no other game will see time for a long time after that.

Halo 3 will include a 4 player co-op over Xbox Live or System link.
