Refresh my memory please. Did Ryle beat BHS last yr, I seriously can't remember?

I am calm, everyone else seems to be speaking on your behalf. I take meds. so I am very calm, thank you though!

No, but we got 6 or 7 hits off him in regular season before Bob pulled him. We won't see him until Regionals if we both make it that far.

Your'e right there. He can not throw again until at least Sun. I think you will be impressed compared to last yr.

Talked to some of the Cov Cath boys before the St Henry game tonight and they agree that he was the best they have seen this year.

Everyone that I talked to said that the Mason (OH) pitcher was easily the best that they have faced.

There is no question, Elliott is one of the top baseball players not only in the 9th region but in the state.

Dido...excellent player!

To be part of this all-star team and be nominated for a position, shouldn't you atleast be playing this position on your 9th region high school team. While Patrick Allen is a great player and deserves the recognition, he has never in his entire high school career played at first base for Highlands. Why not move him to DH since your all-star shortstop position, which is where Patirck plays, is already taken.

C - Maile (CovCath)

1B - Baker (Holy Cross)

2B - Wagner or Reed (It's a toss-up there for me)

SS - Allen (Highlands)

3B - Taylor (Conner)

OF - Ferris (Boone Co.)

OF - Sheehy (Ryle)

SP - Ryan (HC)

Utility - Popham (CovCath)

Honorable Mentions - Muench (Highlands), Shields (Highlands), Issler (CovCath), Humphrey (Ryle), Collins (Ryle), Krohman (Boone), McQueen (Conner), Shanks (St. Henry)

bulldog77 - Thanks for the recognition of some of the other Highlands players

this year. I don't really think others realize what an incredible year this particular team has had and how hard the players have worked.

Have you talked to them sine they faced Elliot? Because last night they told me Elliot was the best. They may have meant in N KY, however.

Pat plays third, pitches and sometimes first for the Kings in the summer. The other infielders are Wagner at SS or second, TC Wetherington (Anderson HS) and Vince Murray at first, and I'll tell you that's one of the best infields you'll see. My point is a lot of kids play other positions but in high school ball they play where they are needed.

Yes...and the Mason kid is better than Elliot. I am a fan of Elliot and he is top knotch, but the lefty from Mason is better.

Who really cares about an OH team? They mean nothing to us here in NKY. We are discussing a 9th region all star team not someone from the wrong side of the river!

I will say this, I have seen all the top pitchers in NKY, Elliott throws harder than any of them w/a great curve/change up to compliment his fast ball. Think what you want, as we all will, Elliott is an all star!

3pt...you gotta relax....everybody in this thread agrees with you!...The question was asked as to whether the mason kid was better...which based upon the opinion of the cch kids who saw both, I reported yes....No one is challenging Elliot as topS in the 9th...remember, it's hs sports...it's supposed to be FUN! :)

I guess you have not seen Mutsch(sp?) from Brossart throw, though he is a 10th region player but you said any NKY player and he qualifies for that, I doubt Ellliot hits 92 consistently not taking anything a way from Elliott, but you make it sound like he is the next coming of Moses, You make it sound like he should be pitching in the Big Leagues right now.
