Latest N. Ky Baseball coaches poll

Is it too early to say NKY "Coach of the Year" @ Highlands???? Possibly the STATE !

Highlands is fourth not third that spot belongs to Holy Cross.

1 Cov Cath

2 Ryle

3 Holy Cross

4 Highlands

5 Brossart

I think Scott is severly underrated in this pole. They have beat Highlands, Boone County, and Beechwood. They have roughly the same record as Campbell County and beat them 18-3! They played Brossart close with Mutsch on the mound and only lost to CovCath by 2 in the latter innings.

I'm not well versed on Scott's team this year so this is a general statement and not one aimed at Scott.

You can't use head-to-head unless each team was playing with their best 9 that day - especially on the hill.

This morning's Enquirer has Highlands third and Holy Cross fourth.

Not sure if that is the case quite yet. If the Birds make it deep into the tournament, Coach J. has to get serious consideration at least for the NKY COY I would think. To bring this team as far as he has in such a short time is pretty impressive, and certainly far beyond the expectations of most people. And I don't mean to slight the efforts/skills of coaches like Krumpelman (whom has to be one of the best baseball coaches in Ky history).

This year Scott has faced Brossarts #1, Campbell County's #1, St. Henry's #1, Dixie's #1, Lloyds #1, CovCaths #1 and Scott has done very well with alot of those teams...

Todays post has it the other way around I guess it just depends on which paper you read.

This could be a toss-up .Not to take anything away from HHs ,but .If you graduate 12 seniors ,8 starters have the # 2 pitcher quit play 8th graders and freshman on a regular basis ,play Dunbar (#2 in the state ) 3 times ,Apollo #12 ,Lexingto Christian (#5) and Owensboro Cath (#4) and get 20 wins this year .Beechwood has put together a very nice season , and it is by far over .Great Coach Myerhoff and the rest of the coaches .:thumb:

OOPS! Great job Coach Myerhoff and coaches .

Oh,only 1 senior on this years roster ,who did not play last year I believe .

Highlands has surprised a lot of people this year. Their coach should definetly get some consideration for NKy COY.

I agree with you no one expected them to be thwhere they are .No one expected Beechwood to do this .If you were asked at the beginning of the year would the B'WOOD vs Cov Cath game have be as important as this the response would of been NO!

I AGREE THEY BOTH SHOULD BE GIVEN CONSIDERATION .The difference is the schedule .Beechwood has played a much tougher one and they have the same record .I think both coaches will get alot of votes and HHS may end up with it because of the last few years .

Define "very well" on a team by team basis. That will give a much clearer picture of their season. I know Bleser no-hit them. No offense to Dixie but regardless of which pitcher they faced, that had better be a W. That might be true with Lloyd as well.

Jordan Woodruff is 7-1, I have to think he is the Camels #1 at this point. He did not pitch against Scott.
