For those who watch St.X...

Goal line stand against Male, 1st and goal from the 2. Tronzo's senior year. Male tried to run the ball inside 3 times and three times Tronzo and company stopped them. A 4th down rollout pass went incomplete. The point? I saw all this from the endzone fence 12 yards away! If only the new stadium could match that! Like the endzone at John Hardin - right on the back of the endzone. I love Manual stadium.

I don't know if you are being serious or not. On a serious note, as a photographer it is my opinion Manual has the worst lighting of any high school stadium I have worked at.

He is serious...my two biggest knock of Manual Stadium are parking (which can't be helped), and the lighting if flat out horrendous...it is "dark".

The Manual game was 2001.
 Really?

Was I concussed?

To my recollection we played (in order) South Oldham, Eastern, Butler, Ballard, X, Southern, Atherton, Doss, Seneca, Male, and PRP in 2001.

I was referring to X-Manual where X came back in the 4th to win.

Sorry, should have quoted Diogenes on it. :thumb:

In response to that post, Manual led 21-10 entering the fourth quarter. Not exactly a margin to put away half the play book with a quarter of the game left. And a defense like X has to be respected enough to avoid being one-dimensional against them.

11 point leads in the 4th against the Catholic schools don't seem to do Manual to well.

They had an 11 point lead in the 4th on us in 2005 too. Which was an awesome game all around I might add.

Saw that one too. Another Manual Stadium memory.

The little-thought-of Trinity vs. Manual "rivalry" (I use that word to the same extent that others claim a St. X/Male, Trinity/Male 'rivalries', though those are more prestigious obviously) has held some definite classics.

I would be lying if I said I will not miss historic Manual stadium. It is a very special place with many memories. The good thing is as long as Manual is on the schedule St.X will play there every other year. Now it is time for the Tigers to start a new tradition of our own and it's a very exciting time for St.X fans who have waited so long for the new stadium to be a reality.

My family will miss Manual stadium. My Father in law played there for Manual in the 30s and my sons played there, as did I. We look forward to the new stadium.

The other issue besides the lighting was the footing late in the year after heavy rains and games. In fairness to M though, that field was one of the most utilized fields in town.
