May 4, 200719 yr Here's one, a little tough.... What current player, was the last to hit for a "Cycle" and do it, in natural order (1B, 2b, 3B and HR)
May 4, 200719 yr http://www.baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/rb_hbp2.shtml LRCW, here's a link from MLB.com who I would think would be the one that counts:http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/historical/player_stats.jsp?statType=1&teamPosCode=all&HS=true&timeFrame=3&c_id=mlb&statSet1=2&sitSplit=&venueID=§ion1=1&baseballScope=mlb&timeSubFrame=0&&sortByStat=HBP
May 4, 200719 yr Here's one, a little tough.... What current player, was the last to hit for a "Cycle" and do it, in natural order (1B, 2b, 3B and HR) Didn't Gary Matthews do that last year in addition to making that circus catch? (not in the same game of course)
May 4, 200719 yr Author Barry Bonds is the obvious leader in intentional BB. Who does he hold the lead over and how many intentional BB's does he have OVER the 2nd place guy? Any guesses?
May 4, 200719 yr Didn't Gary Matthews do that last year in addition to making that circus catch? (not in the same game of course)That is whom, I think is the latest one. I remember it being discussed, for several days on the sports circuit.
May 8, 200719 yr Author New question and new stat. Who is the MLB career holder for the relief pitcher stat of HOLDS? Hint: I think he pitched for the Reds.
May 8, 200719 yr Author Barry Bonds is the obvious leader in intentional BB. Who does he hold the lead over and how many intentional BB's does he have OVER the 2nd place guy? Hank Aaron was the answer to this question and Bonds is approaching having 400 MORE intentional BB's than Aaron did in 2nd place.
May 8, 200719 yr New question and new stat. Who is the MLB career holder for the relief pitcher stat of HOLDS? Hint: I think he pitched for the Reds. Didn't know, they actually tracked this stat. I'll say Pedro Bourbon.
May 8, 200719 yr New question and new stat. Who is the MLB career holder for the relief pitcher stat of HOLDS? Hint: I think he pitched for the Reds. This may be a dumb question, but what is a HOLD?
May 8, 200719 yr This may be a dumb question, but what is a HOLD?Reliever comes in, with his team leading and doesn't allow tie or his team to trail, then closer enters to get save or win. He is credited, with a "hold"....as he did his task.
May 8, 200719 yr Author Didn't know, they actually tracked this stat. I'll say Pedro Bourbon. Nope, believe the stat has only been tracked over the last 10-15 years.
May 8, 200719 yr New question and new stat. Who is the MLB career holder for the relief pitcher stat of HOLDS? Hint: I think he pitched for the Reds. Rob Murphy
May 8, 200719 yr Author Rob Murphy I always liked Rob Murphy but no on him being the correct answer. Hint #2: Better known for his relief success for the Braves.
