April 27, 200719 yr I dont know why you guys are so hardpressed on trying to say this offer wasnt on the table. The fact is it was on the table and Walls did not take it. What is the deal? Do you guys not think he is good enough? Pitino did and offered him this deal and that is exactly what happened.I'm not taking a position one way or the other. I have no way of knowing what and what wasn't offered. Bottom line ... you have sources on one end, he has them on the other. I would have no idea which one is correct, or whether the truth is somewhere in between. I will say this. I can think of at least two instances where a kid took a similar "offer" at a Division I school, only to find that there was no scholarship waiting at the end of the rainbow.
