Hicks deserves alot of credit as a highschool player. He was a great shooter,always made the big play, and was one of the best players in eastern Kentucky. He wont play d-1 but hes going to play somewhere. Goodluck Justin.

I think these are his year end stats: high score 36, field goal % 51, free throw% 85, assists 4, rebounds 4, and steals 2. I think that puts his stats up there among the top 10-20 players in the state. He averaged 3.6 3 pointers per game and he played with more heart than most, not to mention his knowledge of the game and floor leadership. Hazard wouldn't have beat Madison Central or Lafayette without him. His height is his disadvantage. As far as Alice Lloyd he won't play there, but you may see him at Pikeville or Trans next year.

Hicks can play at Pikeville. He might have to make a few adjustments to his game, learn to get his shot off a little quicker because of his size but from everything I have heard, he is a hard enough worker to do that.

The same as all other D1 college basketball programs.

I have seen him play and seen tons of tape on him. He has a lot of ability and is a very good shooter. He took some ill advised shots, but in many situations he had to due to his role on the team. Hazard doesn't even have a winning season the past few years without him.

 

He is looking at some smaller D1 schools and gauging their interest in him. I know several of the smaller schools are foaming at the mouth for him, but he wants to make sure all his options are open. His information is in the hands of several college coaches and we will see where he feels he fits best at and who has the most interest in him. My understanding is that some of the smaller D1 schools are waiting to see who they get, what their needs are, and if Justin fits their needs.

 

The bottom line is that they kid loves the game and plays it well. He will play at the next level, ... what level that is has yet to be determined, but anyone who gets to play college ball is in an elite class and Justin deserves to be there!

No way Hicks could play at Eastern. He's not big enough, not quick enough, not a good enough passer and can't shoot well enough. Bottom line, he's not a Division I player. I think Alice Lloyd would be a good place for him.

Read previous posts. I've seen him play several times and I would stand by my statement. He's not that great of a shooter. Maybe he's good in the local gym against small time opponents, but he's not a good enough shooter to play at a high level of college basketball. Sorry.
