I don't know how influencial BGP is for the media but I do know and believe that this site and it's members are by far the the best I have read. I have looked at other sites of this type and there is no comparison. BGP is #1 by far. We (bgp members) will argue :argue: over various topics and we all have our favorite teams and athletes. Imo all that one has to do to prove my point is to look through the General Discussion forum and go throught the various "prayers needed" threads and the like. BGP members care about people and band together on the things that really matter. This site is all class. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: 5 thumbs up to BGP, from Guru to all the Mods and administrators to the members!

I am proud to say that I use BGP. There have been many times that BGP has been able to provide information that is not available elsewhere. I have many times used BGP to help confirm information or have gotten information on BGP first hand and had it confirmed by other stories. I can think of two stories in the last month that beat the AP newswire by 30-45 minutes. I agree with Old Rambler, this is one of the best message boards availabe. I just wish I had more time to enjoy it.

I look at it like this, if you write about KY Sports BGP is a great resource. With that said, many sportswriters are members here. Some of them post messages, some don't. My only beef is the sportswriters that use BGP for leads but then run us/The Net down in general. Oh well, free world.

 

On the other topic, no, I will not be starting any forums in any other states. KY is my home and BGP is already a full time job.

Ijust checked out the http://www.coacht.com site. I see where there is supposedly a 6' 3" shooting guard from Alcoa Tennessee that has committed to UK?? Is this a mistake and possibly a football recruit instead??

I know I can attest to a handful of private messages I got from different people involved high school athletic departments, newspapers and so forth. Whether it's asking me a question or answering something I may have brought up.

 

I found out rather quickly that just about anyone/everyone reads this site. I was always on planning on following rules and being respectful whether they were set in stone on this site or not, but seeing how many people read these boards and value our opinions. I always try and be on my bestest behavior. : )
