Why?

I have them going 2-4 in the New England, Seahawks, 2 Ravens games, 2 Steelers games, Jets and Chiefs games.

Rest of the games they should be favorite.

2 Browns' game, Buffalo, Arizona, Tennessee, St. Louis, San Fran, Miami.

Somehow they split or go 4-2 in the first group of games and 14-2 is not out of reach.

Wow, you saying that these games are gimmys? I say they lose at least 2 of these.

The first group of games you listed is 8 games. If they only win 2 of those they will be in trouble.

So that will be 2 tuesdays and 1 friday that will be lonnnnnnnnnnng days.....

Great point. I meant 4-4.

Wow! 14-2. Remember the Bengals propensity to lose games against supposed inferior opponents ie; Atlanta and Tampa Bay. They will lose games they are favored in. Question is how many

That was with a Carson Palmer that was still in recovery stage and an offense that had not had the offseason to continue to refine their timing as they will this offseason and they did the offseason before they won the division. Don't underestimate the time and effort that Carson, Chad and TJ will be putting in this summer.

I don't think there defense is any better, it may be worse with the free agents lost.

With the Draft, Odell coming back, and all the young guys with another year under their belt I think it is looking very bright.

10-6 is my prediction.

I think anyone can make a legit argument anywhere from 9-7 to 14-2. You just never know with this team and NFL period.

I seriously doubt they'll do any better than 11-5.

Bengals have the easiest December schedule of any other team according to ESPN.

IMO 11-5 is where they SHOULD finish.

I personally think they will be much better this year though now that Carson has had a full year to recover and will have a full offseason and training camp to get the offense back in the groove they were in when they went 11-5 two years ago.

The key to the Bengals this year is how they do in their first 8 games without Henry. If they can go 5-3 or 6-2, I can see a 12-4 or 13-3 season.

I think the problem lies on the other side of the ball. The O may be marginally better. Not having a proven 3rd reciever may affect the O. I may be wrong but I believe the points per game without CH were lower than games he played in. Unless Cincy has a bigtime draft, I don,t see the team as being much better. I say 9-7 maybe 10-6, with a playoff spot.

They have a few other guys that were hurt last year that might come up big. One to look for is Brazell.Tab Perry, Antonio Chatman, Bennie Brazell and Glenn Holt. One of those guys can get the job done for 8 games while he is out.

Chatman is the only one to have done anything in the NFL. I think I like Perry the best out of that group. However, I don't see any of these guys giving you what Henry gives you on the field. Not using the TE puts pressure on the 3rd WR to be a viable option on every passing play. Maybe a small change in philosophy might be the ticket.

I understand what you are saying but looking at those teams, I don't see any high powered offense that should be able to outscore the Bengals as the Chargers did.

It may not be so easy come December. You just never can predict the NFL.
