June 6, 200719 yr Griff at this point he is going to get voted in. Lets assume no one is voted in(and there's no way in hell he should be voted in).
June 6, 200719 yr Who would be the Reds rep on the all-star team? I can only think of two possibilities: Gonzalez, maybe Weathers. Maybe Phillips? Other than that - no one. Griffey is the only one that I can think of considering.
June 6, 200719 yr Why Griffey? I know we could make an argument here and there for maybe Phillips. But Griffey has been the best player on the team since his slow start.
June 6, 200719 yr Griffey is the only one that I can think of considering. He has the same numbers as Gonzalez. How many OFs put up those numbers (or better) vs shortstops?
June 6, 200719 yr I think Griffey is in a better situation since more outfielders are taken. Gonzalez has just struggled too much on defense to be considered as one of the better shortstops in the National League.
June 6, 200719 yr I think at this point, you have to give Phillips the nod, but I do think Griffey gets voted in. If that happens I could see the Reds having both make it....I can't think of many 2B that have put up the kind of numbers Phillips has.
June 6, 200719 yr He has the same numbers as Gonzalez. How many OFs put up those numbers (or better) vs shortstops? I can see your point, I just think that Griff would be the one to go if only one goes. Phillips also is a possibility. Actually I don't think that the Reds should have representative.

June 6, 200719 yr I think at this point, you have to give Phillips the nod, . I would agree. AGonz would be my next choice.
