June 6, 200719 yr Actually, I think I either heard him mention it on the air, or (more likely) I saw him mention it in his blog. Wilco has a great new album out ... There is a great documentary/film about Wilco. I Am Trying to Break Your Heart. I'm not a fan of the band, but that movie was fascinating insight into the recording process. http://imdb.com/title/tt0327920/
June 6, 200719 yr There is a great documentary/film about Wilco. I Am Trying to Break Your Heart. I'm not a fan of the band, but that movie was fascinating insight into the recording process. http://imdb.com/title/tt0327920/ I have not seen it, but have gotten good reviews from friends on it. Jeff Tweedy (lead singer and chief songwriter) was going through some major issues with the Hillbilly Heroin at the time, so I've often wondered how it would be. I'll have to pick up a copy once I get back on my feet financially.

I didn't know much about the band going into it, I was amazed with all the record company politics that the band went through while recording the album. I know it happens all the time, Wilco was lucky they were well established and could take the album elsewhere. New artists wouldn't have been so lucky.
June 6, 200719 yr Reds have to win this game, somehow, someway. Lose that game in Colorado and then to lose this game tonight that has been handed to them on a silver platter.
June 6, 200719 yr We are going to find out now how good Coffey has gotten. Well, nevermind, you can send him back down.
June 6, 200719 yr I hope I'm not jinxing anything, but it does seem that the folks in the studio have gotten the point that the "Hip-Hopera" commercials were sent by the devil and that everyone hates them, because I'm hearing the "Real Men Of Genius" spots a lot more tonight. BTW, anybody seen this site: Real Men Of Genius
June 6, 200719 yr How did he hit that so hard? He chokes up half the bat and it was a short, inside swing.
