There are more than twenty seniors on the roster this year...

How many play on the line ? Also what kind of size and speed do they have ? I know they have a good QB , RB , and WR's . But it starts up front on both sides of the ball ! That will make or break your TEAM !

I appreciate your in depth analysis of the situation, however I was replying to the point made by someone else: 'One Big problem I see is that they were heavily ladened with seniors on both sides of the ball last year and that will hinder them some coming into the season.' I was making the point that this is a heavy senior class with over 20 seniors. Schwaller and Yoest are both senior tackles that will anchor the O line...

Can Spencer handle the beating that would come along with that?

Curtis Spencer is a very tough kid and hard worker...

You got the right recievers, but Spencer is much faster than Hank, but I will take Hanks hands over anybodys on the offensive side of the ball.

You must have Scott confused because they return a lot of a skill players on both sides of the ball, basically other than R. Kelly they didnt lose anything in the defensive back 7, but both the offensive and defensive lines were hit hard by graduation, and from what i have heard, they both looked pretty bad on saturday.

The offensive line has alot of work to do and they were indeed hit hard by graduation last spring. The defensive line played better than advertised...

Kyle Bruner is now at Scott, after two seasons at Cov. Cath, and is a waiting on a ruling from KHSAA to see if he is allowed to play football this year, was told the ruling will come by the end of the week, If he is allowed to play, this would be a very good pick up for the eagles.

Scrimmage didn't go well for the Eagles friday night... During the opening part of the scrimmage when both teams alternated 10 plays O and 10 plays D (several times) both teams scored on long touchdown plays. Rob Hankinson scored a deep pass from Tony Deck for the Eagles... The second part of the scrimmage was two twelve minute quarters with special teams in a real game environment. Holy Cross won the half 12-0... The third part of the scrimmage was when the remainder of both teams saw action in the 10 plays O / 10 plays D format. I believe that HC scored twice during this period...

What does the freshmen team look like? In years past they have had pretty limited numbers out for the freshmen.

I didn't get to see the freshman scrimmage Friday night against Holy Cross. Unfortunately, they were playing at the same time as the varsity in a split field. From all accounts that I heard things went very well for them...

You all should beat Holmes. Regardless of what happens the week prior to playing Holmes. Holmes did not fair to well in the 7-on-7's. Holmes has speed, speed, and more speed. But thats it.

Sorry, I have to take back what I said about beating Holmes. If the Scott team shows up to play Holmes that showed up to play HC in the scrimmage Friday.......they will get beat.

The Eagles have to step up and get together as a team when they do that they will have a great year. They can't come out flat against any team. They need to come out take a lead and keep going, A lot of games in the past they get down early and are trying to play catch up. I know they have it in them and when they click together as a team you will see more wins out of this team.

The scrimmage will be held from 0800 - 1000 AM Saturday morning at Lloyd High School...

How did this one turn out?

Any word on Kyle Bruner's eligibility? If he does become eligible where will he fit in with the team?

Did he move?
