Billy D. Or Rick Barnes

You can't compare records between the two conferences, with that being said I'd take Few over Barnes as a COACH.

2006-07 Gonzaga 23-11 .676

And let's take a look at who he's playing.

2 games every year against each of the following:

Santa Clara

St. Mary's

San Francisco

San Diego

Loyola Marymount

Portland

Pepperdine

He's a good coach and they beat some good teams OOC, but his win % gets greatly inflated playing in the WCC.

Exactly what I was thinking. I think he's a solid coach but those numbers can be very deceiving!

I like Barnes and would put him up against the best recruiters in the country but I don't think much of his coaching. He would be at the bottom of my top 5-6.

I guess he would do good against mid majors, he get a lot of practice out of conference.

Texas has really played some power houses, the last few years.

Bottom line I was not a fan when he was at Clemson, and he ran Providence in the ground. I think UK can do much better than little ricky barnes.

I notice you used selective memory in listing the OOC opponents for Texas. Every major program plays cupcakes OOC...

I've heard that Barnes has already said he is not interested, at all. Maybe it's just a plot to try and keep Durant in Texas....

The only way to "keep Durant in Texas" is for the Mavs, Spurs or Rockets to trade up and draft him. He is gone.
