Jai Lucas

Their class is terrible without them, and there is not really any prospects out there that could save it other than those two.

Jai Lucas and Patrick Patterson are the difference in a top 10 team next year or another 10+ loss season. That is definately "make or break"........

Patterson would be a "break".

I would like to get them both, but, I don't think either are make it or break it players...There are very few Durants, Odens and Wrights out there who make that big an impact as freshmen...If they don't get them, I can see another 10 plus loss season and if they do get them, they could still have 10 plus losses...

I know you dont like Patterson, but why do you say that? So you think the team would be better off without him? You are kidding yourself if you think that. Even if he is not as good as advertised, he is still a improvement over anyone we have or could get for next year a PF..

It will be a make......UK will sign both!

^ Been wondering where you have been with all of your inside sources :thumb:

If Kentucky can sign one, I think they'll sign both (meaning Patterson & Lucas). With them, it'll be a solid class. Without them, we're in trouble.

He said that right after naming several recruits he thought UK had a great shot at. Everybody knows UK's achilles heel is recruiting, and that has been the one area everyone cites that Tubby needs to improve. I took it that he meant the recruiting was improving, and that is headed in the right direction.

That is exactly what I was talking about. Every coach goes through these time at points in their career. But back on subject, this is a thread about Jai Lucas.

Someone posted on another thread in Boys Basketball Forum that Patterson has told friends that he plans on announcing that Florida is his college choice. If this is true it's not good for UK. They've recently lost out in the recruiting of Tyler Hansbourgh, Thaddeus Young, Brandon Wright, and now Patrick Patterson. The UK staff is getting into a habit of not being able to land these high profile power forwards, and I'm afraid it's going to have a snowball effect in future recruiting efforts.

The poster said that Patterson had named some reasons why he wasn't coming to UK, but he didn't go into detail about them in his post.

Yes, I seen that post. It could be speculation until PP actually makes the announcement but it doesnt sound good. Regardless, AJ Stewart looks to be UK's future at PF as of now.

I say that AJ raises some eyebrows next season. Especially if they land Lucas and Patterson and keep the three juniors. Tubby will be able to press a lot more next season. I watched Stewart play in the FHSAA tournament I think he can play back on the press and defend with confidence!! Just my two cents worth.;)

Let's set the record straight right now: Is it pronounced Jay, or Jii (long i sound)?

I say Jii ( Long I sound ) Pronounced - J-eye- Lucas for me.
