If Lucas and Patterson sign, which I believe they will, next year will be an improvement over this year. Tubby is already recruiting tons of top 08 prospects harder than he's ever done before and even has one already committed.

 

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas. UK is way down on those two guys list. Recruiting and signing is two different things. Who you sign is not what defines a good recruiter...It's how your signees play in your system when they get here that defines a good recruit.

Um, who you sign is what makes a good recruiter. How they play is what makes a good coach.

If UK wins on Sunday, they will be in the Sweet 16....and yet, some still will be negative and find nothing, but criticism to unleash.

 

Kansas is a #1 Seed and will give UK, or anyone else all they want. That is my concern and not what a sportswriter, ot others think.

They will have lost to a #1 Seed Kansas team, who is loaded with talent and size....Kansas will move on and no shame on my part. Plus the sun will rise, in Lexington.

 

Hopefully, UK can sign players that will continually have them competing, in the field of 65. I also heard the comment, about 16 straight 1st round victories by UK....not bad.

 

I prefer to see the positives about most things, rather than constantly dwell on the negatives and criticize a program....just me.

I disagree. A realy good recruiter doesn't just prey on what the gurus call a good player. IMO he recruits the players that best fit his style and personality. Just cause THEY SAY Rhondo or Caruth are the best don't mean they will fit in.

You don't mind twisting the knife into the sides of Duke fans in their threads or take pot shots at Louisville. But when a national columnist writes an article on Tubby, the best you can come up with is :sleep: :sleep: :sleep: ??? Like many Kentucky fans, if you can't take the criticism, then maybe you should counter with something more substantive than :sleep: :sleep: :sleep: .

 

As far as Kentucky fans go, they should look no further than their own mirror to see what's wrong with the program.

2. I can take critisizm just fine, no problem but I also will dish it out when I feel needed and don't need any approval from you to do so.

 

3. I do agree with you on some of the U.K. fans on here if that is what you are talkng about (and coming from you I really don't care;) ). I think that I along with quite a few others are pretty reasonable. It is just the louder minority that bandwagon jump and bash anything or anyone to do with U.K. to make theirselves known that I sometimes have a problem with.

Who can blame me? I haven't had this kind of solid sleep since middle school.

I sure would like to see UK win the NCAA Tourney again someday. I don't care who the coach is.

When I watch them play I keep looking for Joe B. Hall on the bench.

Some posts mention parity in todays college basketball, the Ky. Enquirer did an article about this subject. It was part of their NCAA tourney preview. They said that all the talk of parity is not true. They showed and listed the different teams who have made it to the final four and yes there are cinderella teams but that the by far it is still the usual teams who make it. I will see if I can find a link to the article and I will post it.
