Does anyone think that Lofton may not be this good if he went to UK. The system of Bruce Pearl fits Lofton perfectally. At UK, his numbers would be down IMO. He picked the perfect school for him.
March 17, 200719 yr Let's face it, Tubby was not the only one that passed of Lofton. Pitino did as well as MANY other college coaches. Several came to see him play and had the same thoughts at OTS. Both OTS and Pitino have made public statements that they missed on him. I can live with the fact that they admit that they made a mistake. That to me is almost as big a compliment as recruting him. I have said it before and will say it again, Lofton is getting a free education and playing basketball at a D1 school. What more could you ask for him?

March 17, 200719 yr Author This thread was not started to harp on Tubby & UK but rather to point out that even the commentators have to put there 2 cents in on it. I say the just join BGP. That way they can do it for a straight year in every single UK thread on the board.

A mistake that was made by ever coach in America except for Buzz Peterson....Hindsight is 20/20, but Tubby made the decision that every coach in America would've made at the time.

I love how everyone makes it out to be like UK passed on him, while every other program in the country was knocking on his door....
