Are you saying that OJ needed the extra year by the way? He will be 20 years old before his first college game next year, if he doesn't get jailed before then.

I did say there are plenty, and I mean plenty of kid's who can use the extra year to further their chances at a scholarship "AMEN" And I did ask why you would want to restrain them!!!!!?????

How is it fair for a kid who is going to be 20 in September to be competing against high school kids? That happened this season and that is a great example of why this rule is unfair. Player "B" turned 19 in September and was a senior. He had a major advantage in maturity and physically, no doubt about it.

I know kid's, more than one, who were competing competitively with 18 and 19 year old's when they were 14!!!!!! How about that? They were alot smaller than the other kid's too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am apologizing for asking you such a tough question, I won't bother you with it again. So glad to hear that you knew kids that could compete with much older kids, now were those kids exceptional or just average? Or is that question too tough to answer too?

I didn't think it was hard to answer, but I did think it was silly to bring him into the discussion abruptly!!! And you didn't ask a question, you made an implication with..... So you are saying O.J. needed that extra year! which at that point in time I had not mentioned his name. Like I said that extra year could help out a lot of folk's from what I see and read! :D :banana:

I will definately agree it's above what you could match up to!!! I can't resist so here is your answer: Athletically they were average. Size they were alittle

below average. In work ethic and heart(especially heart)grit, and mental toughness they were exceptional!

You have yet to answer the question of HOW MANY!! And also the question

of should they all stop because "you" think it's wrong!!!

So then from what you have told me, that they were average athletically, below average in size but above exceptional in work ethic, heart and mental toughness that I would have to conclude that the 18 and 19 year olds were below average overall, would that not be a reasonable conclusion based on the facts you gave me? And would you not agree, if you are going to be honest, that most kids that play high school sports are only average to a little above average most of the time? So if a 19 year old who is very above average plays against these kids how is that fair?

No, they should not change the rule because I think it is wrong, they should change it because it is wrong. And how many? I saw it happen at Russell, Rose Hill, Fairview (but on a very small scale), Ironton, South Point and I may be wrong but I think it may have even happened at the mecca of all that is basketball, Elliott County.

Know what is impressive though? Kid from Louisville's football team is 19 and graduated and will be one of the first round picks in the NFL draft. Wow, imagine how good he could have been if he had been held back two or three times?
