Observations:

1. YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

2. Tates Creek was tough and had a good game plan. Coach Covington and his staff had their team ready, focused, and disciplined.

3. Both teams came out tight.

4. The game was pretty physical. Not many fouls were called the entire game.

5. Mackey and Walls stepped up when it counted.

6. The 11th region is the toughest in the state.

7. The Scott Co. bus got a police and fire truck escort from the county line to the gym where about 300 fans were waiting to start the pep rally.

8. There was a SEA of red at the game tonight. SC fans took up the ENTIRE side of the arena and the student section filled up the endzone.

9. Tates Creek had good fan support tonight too - for a city school. (It was about 2 red shirts for every 1 maroon)

Maybe the biggest final, but the Scott Co- Lex Cath semi-final in 98 was the best game ever played at the Sweet 16.

What about the South Laurel vs PRP semi-game in 05. That should be considered one of the best Sweet 16 games IMO.

Please do. I thought the game was called very fair. In fact more fouls were called on Scott, it wasnt until the end when TC had to foul that they evened out.

That was not the real GRC team that night. Scott was on fire and couldn't miss while GRC probably played their worst game of the year, Knowles fouled out halfway through the 3rd:confused:. I saw the game last night and there was a big difference from how they played last night and the game in the Toyota Classic. I'm not saying GRC would win, but they wouldn't get beat by 30+ again.
