Bell Co. vs Corbin predictions

Featured Replies

Well being the basketball fan that The Ace is I think that the Corbin Officials at this game will keep it close in Corbins favor. But....Corbin isnt a good enough basketball team to play with the Bobcats tonight. IMO I think Bell will win by 18+..

I'm not sure where the officials are from, I believe either the 14th or 15th region, but they called a pretty good game last night. The fact that Pineville only had 4 team fouls hurt them late in the game when they were trying to send Corbin to the line and the Redhounds did not shoot the bonus until there was under 4-5 seconds left to play.

Corbin has a chance against Bell and it does not depend on the officials, it depends on whether they can handle Bell's press and if they can find their shooting eye.

I believe the 13th region swaps officials with the 15th region

No home cooking here. We trade with region 15. And by the way, talk is cheap . . . Corbin boys will talk on the court when the hounds tame the bobcats albeit a close one!:ylsuper:

Corbin 68-65.

Never know, Corbin might pull out the four corners. I have seen it done before.....ala Billy Hicks in 1991

The 4 corners worked to perfection for the 1991 Redhounds in the 3rd quarter of the regional finals against Bell Co. The Bobcats were a zone team and had beaten Corbin by about 40 during the regular season. When Corbin got a lead at the half they backed the ball out and forced BC to come out and play man to man. That was the difference in the game and got CHS their first regional crown in about a zillion years.

I know one thing for sure...someone could put together the finest JV Team ever with the talent in the 13th region. If some of these talented young players were blended together, they would surely be THE team to beat in Rupp and leave the Lex Cath's, Scott Co's, and etc in awe! :jump:

Corbin wins it in a tight one! Corbin by 3. Corbin is young but capable of this upset . . . No one gave 'em a chance to get this far. I am proud of them!

IMO Most everyone felt like the Redhounds would be just were they are now. I don't think it would be an upest if they beat Bell. Should be a good game.

I agree with ya.

Corbin has not played well during the post season this year. The hounds have had sub par outings against Whitley Co and Pineville and were totally dismantled by South. Unless they play much better it will catch up with them against Bell Co.

I'll take Eddie Whitaker and company to take care of business in this one and the championship!!! I don't think he could dream of any better way to make his first trip to Rupp with both of his sons suiting up for him!!!:thumb:

Gotta take care of buisness first ... way too early about talking about playing at rupp.

I agree would be a dream come true for a dad and coach, IMO, not going to happen, to steep a hill to get over on the way to Rupp, maybe they wll beat Corbin, but the season would end the next game. Unless Cumberland shocks South. I know they played within 1 or 2 the first time againest South, but IMO South is refocused and ready to roll.
