Lofton vs Mayo (College level)

Featured Replies

I get the impression some are still "blaming" O.J. for playing a year and going to the NBA and assuring himself 20 million or more at a minimum. Now why would any intelligent kid pass this opportunity up and risk a career ending injury, which can happen anytime?

If you can get 20 million what do you need with a college degree? And if you need it, you can always get it through correspondence or via the internet classes. The kid as worked hard to hone his skills all his life, so why deny him the opportunity, or take a chance on the injury?

If I am a college coach I would rather have a above average player for 4 years than a 1 and done player!! I know oj is good but I really think he is over hyped. I think he'll be about as good as sebastian telfair is in the pros.

OJ all day. Once he gets some good teaching under his belt at the pro level he is going to be sick.

ColonelCrazy, are you talking about the game at U.S. Bank Arena?

Yes.

I agree, the point guard from Oak Hills that is now at North Carolina was. However, I will emphasize the fact that he had a stress fracture in his foot, which may have affected his ability to get to the basket and lift on his jump shot.

Michael Beasley was the best player on the floor, followed by Tywon Lawson.

Mayo is definitely going to be better than Telfair has been in the pros...

I don't think OJ knows the meaning of the word pass, everytime I've watched him play he shoots the ball 30 plus times. There's no way that's going to work in a college system.

We will just have too wait and see. In my opinion he will be about the same type of player as telfair... average!!
