Leave les alone at least everyone knows who he is and where he stands. He does a good job and calls em as he sees em.

Breez,,,,,I hope hounds play Bell first round ! Cant wait until next week!

Guess we will see in the second round, good draw for Corbin playing Pineville.

I just talked to a Corbin fan friend of mine. This is the way he sumerized last nights game. "Corbin laid down at the opening tip and never got up".

Couldn't have said it better. Hounds were beaten b4 they took the floor.

Very disappointing.

Corbin took a calculated risk by playing a box with a chaser on Hammonds(who has hurt Corbin in the past)and the other South Laurel players made them pay, especially Bortnem who hit 4 straight 3-pointers early in the 1st quarter. Corbin was beat at that point, but not when they took the floor.

If Corbin is fortunate enough to face South Laurel again, maybe the defense will work this time or maybe they change it up. South is so big and physical, it's hard for Corbin to match up with them.

I think that is a good point. At times it looked like Boys trying to guard Men when the Hounds matchup with South Laurel. The size and strength are pretty apparent to even the untrained eye like myself. Proffit is a tough matchup and when he breaks down the defense the others get great shots. When Crawford matches up with Hammonds that puts a much shorter player on Smith.....on and on the story could go. Time to move forward and onto the regional games. Cover this bone up and save it for another day.

In my honest opinion, Corbin's best bet would just be just to play South straight up if they meet again. South is a little bigger at the 3,4, and 5 but Corbin is close when it comes to talent. South just has so many weapons than you can't afford to leave anyone open. Go at em straight up on D and take it to em on O trying to get them in foul trouble. If you pick up on a player being cold, you could consider putting a chaser on whoever is having an on night later in the quarter.

No one person on that team is going to stop Crawford so if you get him driving, it will more than likely put Smith or St. John in foul trouble. When they go out, there is a big drop off and you could also go back to having a chaser. Corbin would just need to man up out of the gates and see where it leads em.

With all due respect to The Cardinals and your opinion, Up until the past 3 years, Corbin has traditionally owned the series. South has had a few wins here and there but Corbin definately doesn't play second fiddle over time. South will always be good but over the next two or three years, Corbin will be the ones driving the car in the district and South will be riding shot gun. It just goes in spurts.

IMHO times have changed and as long as wright is there it won't go back to those days. I would loved to be proved wrong though.
