Fastest 40 Yard Dash Time

Featured Replies

No one, and I mean no one runs a 4.01! I hate to say anything is impossible but that is about as close as you can get.

You could if you trained hard enough & took perfomance enhancing drugs like good ol Benny boy did.

Garrett Wolf, RB out of Northern Illinois. 4.01!!!!!!!!!!! Thats pure lightning!

No he didn't.....I would venture that that time has never been recorded by Laser.

Don't trust wikipedia....it is a nice reference....but not verified by anyone...

I thought that I had read somewhere that Allen Rossum has the fastest NFL 40 recorded...don't know the time though.

I have the fastest 40 yard dash time.

On NCAA 07 for the 360.

Thinking back to a debate on here a few years ago Rossum ran in the high 4.2 range. He also came in with world class 100m speed at 10.2...

Johnson had to borrow a pair of shoes to run his 40 at the combine.

He posted the fastest time in the nation in the 100 meters (10.02 seconds) in 1993.

Bennet ran a 4.36 in the 40-yard dash. http://www.jsonline.com/packer/rev/a...aelbennett.asp

Alvis Whitted/Oakland Raiders - Has been clocked in the 40-yard dash in under 4.3 seconds http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/110998/jag_1d6bosel.html

While at Florida State, Moss ran a 4.25 40 yard dash (only Deion Sanders, with a 4.23 40 yard dash, did better). http://www.raidersonline.org/randy-moss.php

I was going to say Deion (Prime Time) Sanders had the fastest recorded 40. In a previous post it said that his time was before laser timed 40's. I believe he has a few stolen home's for the Reds back in the day!

Wow Calvin Johnson is going to be a beast in the NFL.

Those guys with a 99 speed rating sure can fly...

UT wideout Robert Meachem also had an impressive 40 time.

I watched him run a 4.36 and a 4.38.

Too bad none of these guys are as fast as those guys at Mercer Co. who ran in the 4.2 range.

Yeh I bet all those first round draft picks would feel pretty lousy getting smoked by a bunch of high school kids....

The story with Dieon goes something like this:

"Prime Time" had not planned to workout at the combine, like many of the top picks do today. Rumors started about him not being as fast as he said he was, so he supprisingly lined up at the line for the forty yard dash. He took off, ran around a 4.2(pre-laser times) and continued to run until he had exited the arena, never to return. Made quite an impression with the scouts and the media.

Also did it in dress clothes is also part of that rumor because again he wasn't planning on doing any of the workouts. Didn't borrow no shoes either.
