Williamstown 58 Bracken Co. 50

Coach Fite has to be a little upset with the way this turned out. I wish him the best of luck in trying to regain his players focus for the district tournament.

Good job W-town, way to keep fighting.

Congratulations to Coach Mefford and the Demons. A few of the games this year could have been W's, but glad the streak is broken. Great job.

Looks like the bears have already went into hibernation.

What will the Bracken County fans use for an excuse on this loss?

Way to bring the HEAT to the Polar Bears Demons!! :fire: Congratulations!:dancingpa

The excuse the fans/parents were using after the game was the Pep band?! The no class parents who berated Band Director Bob Gregg should be ashamed of themselves.

Please elaborate on this if someone attended the game. Are you saying that the Bracken Co. Fans were griping about the band?

Congratulations to W'town. They deserve it!!:thumb:

Yes,attend everygame, watched 4 maybe 5 women approach Mr. Gregg, until he just walked away.Disgraceful! Until last night, well I'm sure everyone knows our record, never have we or any other team I have seen display such "REDNECKNESS".

dont base your opinions about bracken co on a few women!

The Williamstown faithful should be careful on putting other teams/fans down because of classless acts. I have seen more than a few of these "acts" when Williamstown has been on the court, by both fans, cheerleaders, coaches and game adminstrators. I try not to let that take away from my perception of Williamstown as a whole.

Congrats to the Demons on the win.

I was also in attendance last night and to me blaming a pep band for losing a game is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my 9 years with high school basketball.

The band was actually pretty awesome. They played well and I have never seen a band that would sing the rest of the song that they started at a half time when play resumed. Very impressive group of kids I think.

As far as the game goes some would say that the bears have given up since the draw in dropping 3 out of 4 games but two of these were very close and the game last night wasn't a blow out either. The shots just aren't falling for them right now.

The referees were good and I wouldn't blame them for any of those losses either.

The bears have had a great season so far and I hope that they will pull it together for Friday nights game against Calvary Christian to end the regular season on a win. It is definately much deserved at this point and I think the players will be fighting for it.

Im not shocked, ever since they found out that they drew MASON COUNTY they have been shell shocked,, and they knew it was all over, My prayers are with a great coach in JAY FITE. I just hope Budda will not take it to heart,...

Definetly not shocked,Bear fans need to get used to this as this will be the norm for the next 2 seasons probably unless a factory goes up over night in Bracken County and a 6'0 point guard, 6'2 - 2 guard, and a 6'5 to 6'8 center/forward moves into the area. Just hope Coach Fite has the patience to ride it out for a couple of seasons, he deserves better in the future but most certainly he deserves better than what he has seen over the past 2 weeks.
