February 22, 200719 yr Bobby Perry sure contributed in the tourney last year... but I do see your point. Good point. I should have said "consistent".
February 22, 200719 yr :dancingpa The word of the year. Consistent. Sheesh...if I had a dollar for every time we posted that word. The JUNIOR class is great and we all know it. Morris IS a TOP SEC PLAYER and no one can deny it. He is CLOSE but not close enough to a 1st team SEC player. He's one of the top scorers, rebounders, FG % and blocked shot leaders in the SEC. Bradley, to me, doesn't utilize his strengths. He WAS leading the SEC in FT pct. Soooo, drive more and draw that foul or increase your assists. He is in the top 10 SEC steals so focus on defense. He puts his points on the scoreboard but because he keeps shooting until he hits somethings at the detriment of other players scoring and opening up the middle.
February 22, 200719 yr I think a great coaching opportunity for Tubby would be the permanent coach of the USA program. One coach with a system to develop to allow the teams to be victorious at the international level. He would coach each and every team competing towards the Olympics. Also, he could oversee the development of the younger programs. With the quality of person he is, he would be a great representative of USA basketball. And his game coaching and preparation is excellent.

I question the word great for the junior class until they actually decide to show up for the big games...
February 22, 200719 yr Food for thought - I heard on the radio this morning that Tubby Smith makes more money than Lovie Smith, head coach of the NFC Champion Chicago Bears.
February 22, 200719 yr My buddy sold all his lower level season tickets after the home loss to Vandy. He is a die hard UK fan, but the last two years have been hard to take. We both said last night it's time to look forward to next year, at least up until last year we actually had valid hopes of winning it all. Not so last year or this. He went so far as to say if they don't sign PP he's selling next years tickets.
February 22, 200719 yr I question the word great for the junior class until they actually decide to show up for the big games... Yeah. I understand. I guess I use the word great to describe their potential and abilities when they are consistent. All three are in the top 16 in SEC scoring. 2 in the top 10 for FG % 1 top 5 FT % 2 in the top 12 3 pt % made. That is pretty good stuff. This is UK's problem from start to finish..bar none and this is all that is boils down to. The problem is there isn't ONE SENIOR or Sophomore player to count on. Sheeeeeeesh.  You can't win in the SEC or NCAA playing 2 classes versus 4 classes.
