I don't see why its to embarassing. Is Bracken to good to get beat by little ole Deming. Look at what has happened the last couple of years. Deming has had Brackens number. Good Job Devils! Taking 2 of 3 from the Bears this season. Plus, taking the last two Bracken Senior Nights 2005 and this year.:dancingpa

I'll give you that, afraid it's the beginning of many Deming wins versus Bracken over the next few years. Congratulations.

devoutbballfan went on in another thread about teams not getting a fair shake when they played at Deming. Doing some research 90% of their post are on or about Bracken Co. threads. So my question to them tonight is who's fault is it that Deming one this game. Because I know that they would definitely not say that Deming may actually be the better team. Two out of three in 2007. I went back and looked on the KHSAA site and Deming took 2 of 2 in 2005, 1 0f 3 in 2006, and 2 of 3 this year. So ove the last three years Deming is 5-3 against Bracken. It looks to me that it is only going to get worse over the next couple years.

Tough loss for the bears... learn from this and move on, finish the season strong.

Unfortunately the first step in finishing the season strong is to beat your rival schools(St.Patrick and Deming) and the Bears have lost both in less than a week.

The Bears have been dead for 2 weeks with the exception of the Augusta game.

Would say that is about right.

I might have to be a little critical, The Bears jumped out to a 16-5 run in the first period and then the Devils in the 2nd period did the things that help get most of their wins, they started takin' the ball to the basket, driving in the defense were up by 5 at halftime, in the third period they continued to do that going up by as many as 11, then the Devils backed off and started shooting 3's most of which didn't fall and allowed Bracken back in the game, the bears retook the lead, by 1, but the boys in black figured out takin' it inside was what got them there, I think we were fortunate to come away with a win. Good Luck to the Bears the rest of the way and in the tournament.

Bracken County:

Hall 25, he had game honors, Smith 12,gave us fits, Williams 5, Hamilton 4, Cooper 4, Craft 6.

Devils next game is at Paris, and then we play Covington Latin on Saturday.

In most seasons(and I think that Devilman would agree with me) the Deming Black Devils would have no chance at winning a district title. But this year I believe they have a legit chance of winning the 38th. They play Nicholas County in the first round and then Pendleton County/Harrison County if they would happen to win. All four teams have a record below .500.

 

Deming did win the 38th in 1994. What do ya think?

Just ask anybody from Augusta, you have to take every opponent seriously at tournamnet time.
