I think my feelings will survive. Maybe I will be okay in a day or two.

Russell outplayed and outcoached Elliott and won the game. Both teams played decent defense. Russell shot better. They are bigger and stronger and if Elliott doesn't shoot the ball well, they get beat. Good win for Russell. As of right now it means nothing. Monday starts the "real thing." I hope these two teams meet again in the finals. It promises to be a great game. Congrats to Russell on a good win. If Elliott coaches put the players through a tough practice this late in the season, I hope they had a good reason. Mays has done that stuff before late in the season and hurt his team. I think these kids are strong-willed enough to get through it and make a good run in the tournament.

Vanhoose did post up Faulkner alot in the second half. I believe he scored 2 or 3 baskets posting him up and spinning to the basket. I thought moving him to the post was a smart move. He did play the point in the second half though when Blair had to go to the bench with foul trouble. While Blair was in the game Vanhoose was in the post. At least until they went to the spread to run clock.

Vanhoose scored one basket off posting up Faulkner. He scored three off layup's. One five foot floater in center of lane, and one off a rebound underneath in center of lane. Three of four free throw's for a total of 15pts.

-Difference in falling and landing, and getting knocked down with head bouncingoff floor

-Elliott(including Ferguson) had a lot more open look's than you think, they just wasn't falling(wont get into reason for that).

-Russell and Elliott are two best team's in region, and yes Russell's #1

-Would love to have time machine and play both team's as sophomore's, now

We do not need to post or discuss, Referee's by Name. Although some may not be liked, they perform a service which is needed and few, sign-up for.

My comment about not discussing Officials, was in reply to your previous post about not complaining about the Officials....I'm agreeing with you and they were mentioned by name, thus the reason I edited them.

 

With regard to this question, it's related to the topic not being discussed, the game and more discussion was related to Officials.
