Tough running for Noah Brown. Scores on three tough runs.

PAT no good.

Birds 34 Raiders 19

5:46 to go.

Huge play by Moeves. Crisp running into the end zone and Moeves runs him down and knocks the ball out as he runs into the end zone. Birds recover in the end zone. Birds ball deep in their own territory.

Ryle had a couple of big runs and fumbled on about the three yard line going in.

O-Line grinding for the Birds.

Kuhnhein, Greeley, Ciani, Winkler, and Arnold as well as McDowell at TE.

Birds in victory formation. That'll do it. Birds win 34-19.

As advertised. Great game. Both sides.

That was a good game and I assume probably a preview of the Frosh Championship game.

Great job Birds!

Another great effort by the Birds tonight. Have to 💯 limit the Turnovers. Jaxston Moeves once again tonight solidifies why he is the Best Frosh Football player in NKY. The defensive play he made at the end of the game was stellar.

Tracked the Ryle RB down from behind on a sure TD run and stripped the Football and recovered it for a Touchback. I can see him working his way on the Field a little later in the season on Friday Nights!

The kid just gets it. Him playing up last year as an 8th grader catapulted him ahead of everyone else this year on the Freshman level. JMO!

Just love me some Jax! Glad he is a Bluebird...

This Highlands Frosh team this year isn't going to Wow you getting off the Bus but there isn't a harder working group in our Building. Coach Shawn Zitt our Strength trainer and I have been talking about the Body of work this group puts in the Weight Room for Two years now.

Everyone gets tired of hearing the ole Cliche "Secret Sauce' Its our strength training at even the 7th grade level that is paying dividends to our program. By the time they're Freshman they're just ready to Fly! Coach Zitt is the reason. You won't find a better trainer at any level. Like ole Cignetti would say "Just google Shawn' He's always winning....Sorry folkes! He is all ours...And many have failed to lure him away. You would be blown away just in NKY who has tried to snatch him up because what he is doing is working.

This years group compared to others? They're just different! We use catch phrases in our program like "Stand on the shoulders of the players before you' and that's exactly how Highlands Football attacks each and every day!

Hey Boys, don't forget Weights tomorrow morning @ 6:15 am.

Go Birds!

This was a fun game to watch. Ryle has a real nice squad. Have to think #2 for Ryle has a legit shot at the Varsity QB spot next season. Birds need to limit the turnovers but they are solid overall. Can't wait for the rematch.

Can't agree with you more on the turnovers. Birds can't expect to turn the ball over four times and win every time against a quality opponent like Ryle. With that said, they did last night. That's a testament to the kids and the coaching.

Really excited to see how both teams do against Beechwood in the coming weeks. I can guarantee they don't like hearing the "Highlands v Ryle" Championship talk.
