Who Dey!!! Now that is a total team victory! The defense made a lot of plays. The kicking game made long huge kicks. Then the offense was able to go out and close the game out, and not allow Baker and

Defense got bailed out by the turnovers. They looked slightly better but some of the problems are still there. Too many missed tackles. This game isn't close to being over. The Bengals will need 40+ t

That explains it. Allen played well but he lined up offsides 3 times.

The missed tackles will need to be at least cut in half next week in Houston.

Those LB missed tackles are a problem - but no one is surprised. Also bad angles taken by the LBers. Knight is playing his way out of the NFL.

From Lance:

Doing it with depth: On a scorching hot day, the Cincinnati Bengals played nine different defensive linemen on Sunday.

Eight of those players took between 33% and 65% of the 57 snaps.

Those eight played an average of 26.1 snaps. ....45.7% of snaps.

Nobody played more than 37 snaps.

Defensive ends:

Mafe 37 (65%)

Murphy 34 (60%)

Howell 25 (44%)

Johnson 19 (33%)

Defensive tackles:

Lawrence 35 (61%)

Allen 32 (56%)

Hill 24 (42%)

Slaton 21 (37%)

Jenkins 8 (14%)

Quality depth allows them to keep guys fresh and wear down an OL as the game goes on.

Compare that to some other DL around the NFL Sunday

Jalen Carter, Eagles, 66 of 70 snaps (94%)

Will Anderson, Texans, 51 of 58 snaps (88%)

Chase Young, Sants, 51 of 58 snaps (88%)

George Karlaftis, Chiefs, 44 of 51 snaps (86%)

Aidan Hutchinson, Lions, 79 of 90 snaps (83%)

Ed Oliver, Bills, 65 of 79 snaps (82%)

Greg Rousseau, Bills, 63 of 79 snaps (80%)

Bradley Chubb, Bills, 63 of 79 snaps (80%)

Danielle Hunter, Texans, 45 of 56 snaps (78%)

DJ Wonnum, Lions, 69 of 90 snaps (77%)

Quinnen Williams, Cowboys, 53 of 69 (77%)

Jeffrey Simmons, Titans, 50 of 67 snaps (75%)

I was listening to The Herd and didn't realize Collinsworth sold PFF. Additionally, The Herd, and apparently others, have been critical of the new PFF:

Cris Collinsworth sold the enterprise data and analytics business side of Pro Football Focus (PFF) to Teamworks in a nine-figure deal worth over $100 million.

Sale Details

  • Buyer: Teamworks, an elite sports operating system and technology company.

  • What was sold: PFF's B2B enterprise business, including game event data used by all 32 NFL teams and hundreds of college programs.

  • What was kept: Collinsworth retained control of PFF's separate consumer-facing media arm, which includes podcasts, fantasy tools, and the public website.

  • Aftermath: The transaction triggered major layoffs that gutted a large portion of PFF's content and analytics staff.

Further Exploration

  • Read about the transaction directly on the Teamworks Official Announcement.

  • Explore industry reporting on the aftermath from Front Office Sports.

  • Review the media breakdown on Awful Announcing.

Would you like to know more about how this sale affects PFF grades on NBC broadcasts or the layoffs that impacted the content team?

Additionally, NBC has removed Pro Football Focus player grades from its Sunday Night Football broadcast graphics following player criticism and the company's sale. Additionally, the transaction and subsequent acquisition by Teamworks resulted in mass layoffs that heavily impacted PFF's editorial and content staff. For more details, visit Front Office Sports.

Since about the middle of the year last year, the Bengals offensive line has quietly become a very good pass blocking team. With that said they will face their toughest test of the season this week, as Houston probably as the best defensive front in the NFL in regards to putting pressure on the QB.
