Eh, penalties and miscues cost nearly all points given up. Clean it up and they looked improved for sure.

Scott Co dominated, scoring on every offensive possession tonight.

Timmy Emongo had a statement game in his bid for Mr Football with 9 rushes for 242 yds (that’s just shy of 27 yards per carry!) 4 rushing TDs and one receiving touchdown (50+ yard reception) for a total of 5 on the night. Dude is impressive.

Ellison was 6/7 with one passing TD and one running TD. Sharp and efficient.

Lots of room to grow, but a really good win to open the season.

I was watching the game back and just realized Lucas Fint did not play. Hopefully nothing serious there. Good to know that our depth guys are playable vs good competition!

Fint is recovering. I’ve heard he will be back in the next week or possibly two.

Great recap!

This was Franklin County's first regular season loss since Lou. Central beat them in October of 2022. They had won 31 in a row before last night.

Looks like Steve Zahn stopped by to watch some Scott County ball last Friday night! From what I read he attends a game occasionally here.

FC did play against a CAL team with probably a legit 6-10 D-1 players, 2 which were JR All-Americans last year and 1 upcoming JR who’s top 5 in the Country as we speak. Not putting too much into the scrimmage.

Last year a down BG team had them beat and lost in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. Not saying BG will beat them this year, but BG will not be a guaranteed win for CAL.
